What to watch for Maryland: The bench production

It’s no secret that the Terps are a top-heavy team. Of the 74 points they hung on the Huskers on Wednesday, 73 came from their top six scorers — Anthony Cowan, Bruno Fernando, Jalen Smith, Darryl Morsell, Aaron Wiggins and Eric Ayala. The Scarlet Knights are always physical, so Mark Turgeon is bound to give his regulars a break at some point. When that happens, Serrel Smith, Ricky Lindo and friends will have to carry their weight.

What to watch for Rutgers: The offensive glass

The Scarlet Knights have been surprisingly solid at rebounding this season. Forward Eugene Omoruyi is averaging 8.5 boards per game, and centers Shaquille Doorson and Myles Johnson have a combined 10.9 rebounds in 33.1 minutes per game. Most of that production has been on the offensive end; Rutgers has gotten the rebound on 37.3 percent of its own shots, which ranks second in the conference behind Maryland. Turgeon will look to Jalen and Bruno to box out the Scarlet Knights and prevent them from getting second-chance points.
