Guard Melo Trimble drives toward the basket during the Terps’ loss to West Virginia in the third round of the NCAA tournament on March 20, 2014 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

With tipoff for the 2015 college basketball season now less than a month away, it’s time to make sure you know where to find your favorite Terrapins men’s basketball players on social media.

Luckily, we’ve done the work for you.

Below, you’ll find the handle for every player on the Terps roster who’s on Twitter. But — cue that cheesy infomercial voice here — that’s not all! We’ve also done an in-depth analysis on some of the most notable tweeters, including what their interests are judging by their accounts and why you need to hit that ‘Follow’ button.

These guys figure to be a fixture atop the polls this year, and it’d be wise of you to make sure you’re watching their journey unfold on Twitter every step of the way. So go on and check out our research, and then start adding the ones that intrigue you the most.

Melo Trimble (@_STAYMELO )

Followers: 14.7K

Interests: Retweeting all sorts of things, sporadically spouting out random message

Analysis:

Trimble is the squad’s most popular player in terms of followers, but his Twitter game is a bit all over the place. Recently, he’s shown support for the Dallas Cowboys, former Terp Dez Wells, Maryland’s women’s lacrosse team, and Steelers quarterback Michael Vick all by hitting the RT button. Luckily, it looks like he’s finally being fed again after that strange stretch in the summer where all he was doing was passing along pictures of mouthwatering food, and he’s back to just being Melo.

Why you should add him to your timeline: He’s totally unpredictable; he’ll be inactive for a few weeks, and then come up with something like this:

Damonte Dodd (@TheRturnOf35

Followers: 3,557

Interests: Being thankful for another day

Analysis: Dodd’s account is pretty one-dimensional. Have a look for yourself:

Is it the most interesting of feeds on the Internet? Not exactly. But it’s refreshing to see that someone like Dodd appreciates what he has.

Why you should add him to your timeline: Because he will make sure you’re thankful for another day, too.

Diamond Stone (@Diamond_Stone33)

Followers: 13.6K

Interests: Being generous to fans, using emojis in his tweets

Analysis: The freshman sensation hasn’t played a minute in College Park yet, but he’s already accrued a solid following on Twitter — and it’s easy to see why. First off, the Wisconsin native is always sure to retweet pictures from students bragging about meeting him, which is pretty cool. In addition, he loves to use the ‘100’ emoji, which everyone knows falls within the top five for swaggiest emojis:

Why you should add him to your timeline: He’s big into interacting with his followers, and he seems genuinely excited about being at Maryland. Overall, there’s nothing but good vibes on Stone’s feed.

Jared Nickens (@HeatCheck_11

Followers: 3.9K

Interests: Having you add him on snapchat, retweeting Vines from World Star

Analysis: Nickens’ following may be a bit small, but he’s still a worthy guy to throw a follow. Like Stone, he seems to enjoy reaching out to other students, as he’s constantly soliciting people to join him on another social media platform:

He’s a specialist on the floor, and he’s one on Twitter, too; he knows his niches in both areas (shooting threes and RTing funny Vines) and he sticks to them. That’s an important quality for any user to have.

Why you should add him to your timeline: He won’t clog your timeline up, and whenever you see that he’s retweeted something, you’ll know it’s worth the watch. In a way, he’ll act as a timeline curator, which is nice.

Jaylen Brantley (@Jaybrant2

Followers: 3.5K

Interests: Being extremely positive, saying that certain rappers “crank”

Analysis: Brantley is an amazing Twitter-er — the new Terp loves both supporting and messing with his teammates and seems to always be in a jovial mood. Here’s a sampling of his work:

His enthusiasm is infectious, and he never really seems to be down; that’s a trait that’ll serve him well both in the Xfinity Center and on social media.

Why you should add him to your timeline: It should be clear by now. Go do it.

Varun Ram (@VRam_21

Followers: 2K

Interests: Being super motivational

Analysis: While Dodd’s account will get you thinking about how thankful you need to be for life, Ram’s page will get you thinking about, well, everything:

Good grief, even his tweets are intelligent.

Why you should add him to your timeline: Now that Randy Edsall is gone, you’re going to need someone to add a bit of inspiration to your timelines. Ram is your guy.
