Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
We know this one has been around since Nov. 14, but in case you haven’t heard, there’s a new, full Harry Potter spreading around the Internet. A little less ominous than the teaser (though in keeping with the films’ natural progression, the cinematography only gets paler and darker), the trailer gives us a little more on the teenage romance afloat at Hogwarts before foreshadowing the terror to unfold. Director David Yates has our complete faith after the previous installment – let’s see if he can pull off another great entry.

Star Trek
After catching glimpses here and there of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot, the full trailer has finally hit the web … and it’s glorious. The young faces (Chris Pine of Bottle Shock takes the lead as Capt. Kirk) help round out an incredibly slick-looking production – visually dazzling yet respectful to the series’ iconography. As one of sci-fi’s most powerful new voices, Abrams seems to have been the right choice for the job of selling Star Trek to a new generation of viewers.

Revolutionary Road
Cut to Cat Power’s rendition of “Sea of Love,” the latest trailer for Sam Mendes’ (Jarhead) Revolutionary Road gives those of us unfamiliar with the source novel just enough to whet the palette: Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, the American 1950s and domestic unrest. As always with Mendes, the footage is beautiful. It’d be nice to see a new trailer with a little more substance, but with all the Oscar buzz kicking up already, this is one film you’ll want to keep an eye on.
