Andrew Tyson, a male in his mid-20s, is missing, last seen in College Park, and could be a “danger to himself,” according to a University Police news release.
Tyson is hearing impaired and could be in need of help, according to a release.
At about 6 p.m. Saturday, Frederick City Police notified University Police about a missing person believed to be in College Park, University Police spokeswoman Sgt. Rosanne Hoaas said. Frederick City Police learned Tyson was missing after receiving a phone call, she said. Using information from a nearby cell tower, Hoaas said police determined Tyson’s last known location was on the campus.
After exhausting all available options to locate him, Hoaas said University Police officials published a news release on the department’s website. It is not known how Tyson got to College Park, and he has no known university affiliation, Hoaas said. He is not listed in the university directory.
“Our main concern is getting this information out there and trying to locate him,” Hoaas said.
