In 2009, the United Kingdom store Topshop graced America with its extremely fashionable presence. It is now slowly creeping into the states with stores in Chicago, New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
So, why am I bringing Topshop to your attention? Because soon there will be a Topshop invasion at a Nordstrom store near you. Topshop merchandise will be sold at 42 Nordstrom department stores across the country.
Now, for the fun part. What can you buy at Topshop?
The store adapts fashion trends that are relevant to the everyday shopper. Much like Forever 21, there is a lot of merchandise, but Topshop’s clothes are better quality and will definitely last you longer.
Sometimes better quality means higher prices, but I like to think of it as an investment in my future. It is worth buying the $70 pants from Topshop today because they will last me a good 6 months before I grow tired of them (this amount of time varies on the person of course). But if I buy the $25 pants from Forever 21 they will break and I will hate them. Maybe I am just justifying a recent purchase I made, but I think there is real logic behind buying clothes that are better quality.
At Topshop, there are these thin pants that are perfect for the summer and can also be worn to work. They look great (I own a pair) and are light enough to withstand the summer heat.
Featured at Topshop right now is this very on trend crop skater dress. With the appearance of a crop top, this dress is reminiscent of the crop trend we talked about in my last blog post. This dress gives the appearance that it is a crop top and skirt but is actually a cute dress, which makes it even more comfortable.
Topshop has collaborated with famous supermodel Kate Moss, and many other celebrities are also shopping the brand. Kate Bosworth has been seen wearing a lot of Topshop at events. Beyonce also posted a photo on her Tumblr wearing a Topshop bikini.
Topshop is made accessible for everyone and now you know if you see signs of a Topshop coming soon near you, there is something to be excited about.
