The Terrapins volleyball team had no players named to the Preseason All-ACC Team, while yesterday’s opponent — Clemson — had three players receive that honor.
But once the game got underway, it was the Terps, not the Tigers, who seemed worthy of individual accolades.
The Terps (9-4, 1-1 ACC) rode a balanced attack to an easy 3-0 road victory over the Tigers (9-4, 0-2). Mary Cushman (13), Ashleigh Crutcher (12), and Kamrin Gold (10) all notched double figure kills for the Terps. Meanwhile, only one Tiger was able to produce more than seven kills.
The Terps hope to maintain that sort of offensive production into Sunday, when they travel to face Georgia Tech (10-2, 2-0).
