A man was fatally shot Sunday just three miles from the University of Maryland’s campus, according to The Washington Post.
Prince George’s County Police responded to a report of a fight near the 9600 block of Milestone Way at about 4 p.m., according to The Post, which is a residential and commercial area near Route 1, north of Capital Beltway.
Upon arriving, police discovered the victim with a gunshot wound, according to tweets from Prince George’s County Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man with a non life-threatening head injury was taken to the hospital, according to the tweets. The Washington Post reported police were not able to determine how he suffered the head injury.
Police have not released the identity of any suspects, according to The Washington Post.
