After a week with wins over No. 24 Nebraska and Rutgers, the Maryland Terrapins are back in the receiving votes section of the AP Top 25 Poll. Maryland grabbed 14 votes to be ranked, which puts them at No. 32 in the country.
Despite the Terps’ win over Nebraska, the Cornhuskers still received more votes than the Terrapins. It was just a one-vote difference, as Nebraska brought in 15 votes and ranked No. 31. Also receiving 14 votes is Seton Hall, a team that took down Maryland on Dec. 22.
Around the Big Ten, four teams (No. 2 Michigan, No. 6 Michigan State, No. 16 Ohio State and No. 22 Indiana) are ranked in the top 25 this week, while six other Big Ten teams, including Maryland, received votes.
The Terps have been ranked in the Top 25 twice this year, being no. 24 and No. 23 in late November and early December. If Maryland can win both of their games this week against Minnesota, who is also receiving votes and is No. 29, and against No. 22 Indiana, it is very likely that the Terps will climb back into the Top 25.
