What to watch for Maryland: Rebounding
The Terps are among the leaders in the conference and the country in both rebounds per game and rebounding margin. Currently, Maryland grabs 39.5 rebounds per game with a rebounding margin of 10.3. The Terps are 31st in the country and third in the conference for boards per game. This game is projected to be close and rebounds will be an integral part to the outcome of the game. If Maryland can crash the glass and dominate the boards on both ends of the court, especially getting second-chance opportunities on the offensive end, the Terps will be likely to pull off the road win in Madison.
What to watch for Wisconsin: Free throw shooting
The Badgers have the worst free throw percentage in Big Ten games out of everyone in the conference, making under 60 percent of their attempts. It doesn’t help that their best player, Ethan Happ, is shooting 47.1 percent from the line and also leads the team in free throw attempts with 85. Teams have been prone to use the Hack-A-Happ strategy against the Badgers, so we’ll have to see if the senior center will spend plenty of time at the charity stripe for the Badgers on Friday night.
