The ACC named Terrapins women’s basketball guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough the conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, marking the first weekly honor of her Terps career.
Walker-Kimbrough averaged 16 points in the Terps’ two wins this week, including a career-high 17-point performance against Wofford in which she shot 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. The Aliquippa, Pa., native scored 15 points against the College of Charleston on Sunday to help the No. 8 Terps win the Terrapin Classic. Her scoring off the bench earned her a spot on the All-Tournament team.
Walker-Kimbrough boasts the best three-point field goal percentage in the ACC at 53.8 percent and ranks second on the Terps with 11.1 points per game off the bench.
The Terps begin conference play on Jan. 5 at No. 10 North Carolina.
