Maryland women’s lacrosse moved up one spot to No. 3 in this week’s Inside Lacrosse poll after two wins against Top-10 opponents.
The Terps defeated then-No. 7 Penn 13-7 on Thursday and then-No. 3 James Madison 15-12 on Saturday. Both teams were undefeated entering their matchups with the Terps.
James Madison was Maryland’s first higher-ranked opponent this season. After the losses, Penn moved up to No. 6 and the Dukes dropped to No. 4.
Maryland began the season ranked No. 1 but dropped to No. 4 after losing to North Carolina on Feb. 24.
The two remaining undefeated teams — Stony Brook and Boston College — still hold the top two spots, as they have since Maryland’s loss.
The Terps face two unranked opponents — Georgetown and Michigan — this week.
