Maryland men’s basketball slid to No. 21 in the Associated Press poll released Monday following two consecutive defeats.
Last week, the Terps (16-5, 7-3 Big Ten) were outplayed by No. 6 Michigan State at the Breslin Center before Illinois pulled off an upset at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Maryland’s first losing streak this season prompted a fall of eight spots from No. 13 — the team’s highest ranking since the 2015-16 season.
