The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Waldorf native is ranked the No. 20 player in Maryland and No. 84 outside linebacker in the country by 247Sports.
Waldorf, who attends St. Charles High School, joins three-star athlete Lavonte Gater (Ballou High School) in DJ Durkin’s 2019 class. Blount took an unofficial visit to College Park on March 29 and chose the Terps over offers from Indiana, North Carolina, Wake Forest and others.
He is the first outside linebacker in the 2019 class, but the 2018 class featured five three-star recruits at the position. Durell Nchami and Jordan Mosely enrolled in classes this spring, while Nihym Anderson, Fa’Najae Gotay and Chance Campbell will arrive in the fall.
