Maryland men’s lacrosse midfielders Connor Kelly and Nick Brozowski and defenseman Curtis Corley were named Big Ten Players to Watch, the conference announced Monday.
Kelly led the No. 1 Terps with 46 goals last season, while also dishing 11 assists. The Easton, Connecticut, native started every game in 2017 and figures to adopt a larger role after attackmen Matt Rambo and Colin Heacock graduated last spring.
Brozowski, a redshirt junior long-stick midfielder, played in 19 games last season but didn’t make a start. He recorded three scores.
Corley made 19 starts on the Terps’ defense in 2017, helping Maryland end its 42-year championship drought. The Medford Lakes, New Jersey, native secured 21 ground balls and forced five turnovers.
Coach John Tillman’s team opens the season Feb. 10 against Navy in College Park.
