Without in-person classes, the Help Center hasn’t been able to do its job.
The show opens on May 7.
Students can participate in the initiative by posting their work with the hashtag "KeepCreatingUMD."
Student groups are opting for Zoom conferences, movie clubs and Instagram livestreams.
The program will take place over one day instead of two, and much of it will be self-guided.
The university will announce a decision on fall classes by June 15.
The workshops are aimed at helping students manage stress and anxiety during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Spring graduates and guests will also receive tickets to a football game on Sept. 12.
Although the center hasn't seen an increase in calls yet, its director says he's been monitoring the volume.
