What to watch for Maryland: Merry Christinaki

After transferring to Maryland in January and sitting out a full academic year, junior guard Eleanna Christinaki will be eligible and active for the first time in a Terps uniform. Christinaki played her first three semesters at Florida, where she averaged 17.6 points per game in nine contests last season before leaving the team. The former Gator will be a difference-maker for the Terps this year.

What to watch for Coppin State: Shooting woes

Coppin State’s 33.8 percent shooting mark from the field ranks 336th out of 345 Division I teams. Even the team’s leading scorer — guard Genesis Lucas, who is averaging 18 points per game — is shooting only 30 percent from the floor, making her one of the most inefficient qualified shooters in the country. The Eagles, who are hitting 26.9 percent of their 3-pointers, will need A LOT more shots to fall to pull off the upset over the Terps in Charm City.
