Dwayne Haskins just can’t wait to be quarterback for the Terrapins football team.

The four-star Maryland quarterback commit was one of several recruits in attendance for the Terps’ 28-0 loss to Michigan Saturday. Here he is with Maryland wide receiver commit DJ Turner.

After Maryland’s offense stagnated in the first half, in which it only generated 68 total yards, Haskins expressed his desire to help out.

It should be noted that Haskins can’t take the field for the Terps until August 2016. Until then, some combination of Caleb Rowe, Daxx Garman, Perry Hills and maybe even true freshman quarterback Gage Shaffer will be under center for the team.

Maryland quarterbacks are 126th in the country in passer rating this season- out of 128 teams in FBS, and have many fans reacting like this:

After last week, Haskins squashed any talk that he would go back on his commitment to Maryland, and after this week his reaction seems to be more of a “Can’t wait to help once I get here,” than a “Oh God, why did I commit to Maryland.”
